Gone but not forgotten

Our Newfoundlands make a huge impact on our lives and find their way close to our hearts. When the time comes to say goodbye we are comforted that they live on in our memories.

This page is a tribute and memorial to those who are no longer with us but will always be remembered with deep affection.

George
George
(Aarozeen Quarter Back)
A founder member of the group, loved and missed by Don and Hazel. A grand old man who died in April 2005 just after turning ten. He is featured on the homepage of our site and had Level A and B passes to his credit.
Nelly
Nelly
Nelly was a rescue by Don and Hazel. She passed away in April 2002, aged four and a half. She did enjoy her water work and achieved passes at Levels A and B.
Henry
Henry
(Startrek Scuzzy Creek Bear)
Owned by John and Frankie, Henry was a lovely boy who died suddenly at 9 years of age. Everybody loved him, he was such a sweetie. Still missed to this very day.
Scooby
Scooby
(Stelamah Firesolider at Rehovot)
Much loved and fondly remembered by Andrea and Mark, Scooby was amazing as he went blind at 14 months of age yet still subsequently passed his Level A and Level B water and also Level 1 and 2 draught tests. He went on to get his multi-test Certificate in Level 2 draught and was a winner of Beginners and Pre-beginners Obdeience at the Newfoundland Club show. All-in-all a very special dog, greatly missed.
Tess
Tess
(Karazan Tessmarie of Kenthoo)
Tess pre-dates the Muddy Paws days but she loved to swim and would have relished the opportunities to train. She passed away in 1994, aged 12, and is fondly remembered to this day by Jan and Graham.
Rosco
Rosco
(06-01-1998 to 31-03-2007)
Sadly left Mark & Paula for the Rainbow Bridge aged 9. A dog that people will always remember, he couldn't wait to get into the water and had to be marched out at the end. Passed his Level B against all the odds.
Jake
Jake
(Sealake Celtic Peace)
Never happier than when he was working, either in the water or pulling a cart. He also turned his paw to tracking, HTM and even fun agility. Jake sadly passed away in June 2010, aged 12. He will be forever loved and desperately missed by his family and has left his paw prints in their hearts.
Fatso
Fatso
(Registered name)
Fatso passed Section A in 2008 and was working on his Section B exercises when he passed away at much too young an age. He was a tremendously popular member of the group. He was so gentle and laid back, a real softie who was devoted to his Mum and will be greatly missed.
