We can't promise that we can oblige but we will consider appropriate requests.
Some of our members after our New Years Day walk 2010
New Years Day saw a number of our members getting together for what has become a regular event. In cold but beautifully sunny conditions we enjoyed a lovely walk in the huge grounds of Thorndon Park with super views accross the Essex countryside. If you'd like to join us, we'd love to have your company in 2011.
Sunday 21st March 2010 - Annual Club Dinner & Presentations
Our annual club dinner and awards presentation evening was held at the Chichester in Wickford. The award for the top Working Newfoundland in our group going to Hill's 'Maisie' for the third year running. This year, for the first time, the top Show Newfoundland in our group received an award which was voted to Don & Hazel Hick's Ch. Hanningfield Wet 'N Wild who won the Bitch Challenge Certificate at Crufts in 2009.
Saturday 10th April 2010 - Sponsored Doggie Walk
We were very pleased to join in this charity event raising funds for St. Luke's Hospice.
April 2010 - Training restarted after the winter break
It's a bit cold in the water at the start of the season but we are all delighted to back at the lake and working and training with our dogs.
Sunday 16 May 2010 - Grangewaters "Everyone Active" Day
We were happy to participate in this event, organised by Grangewaters and enjoyed the opportunity to put on a short display of the water work we do with our dogs.
Glorious weather for the SNC Tests 2010
We hosted the official Water Tests of the Southern Newfoundland Club at Grangewaters for the second time and had a wonderful day. The weather was glorious and we had a wonderful entry ... a highly enjoyable day which we hope to repeat in 2011.
Sunday 22nd August 2010 - Newfoundland Club Water Tests
Water Tests for the Newfoundland Club were again held at Grangewaters. These tests attracted some of the top working Newfoundlands and handlers in the UK and amongst many other successes we saw two superb passes in Section E, the highest level of achievement in water work for Newfoundlands.

The Group are very happy to support this annual charity fund-raising event which is held at the Barleylands centre at Billericay. We're at the show for both the Saturday and Sunday with our dogs. In addition to providing information about the Newfoundland breed and giving show-goers a chance meet our dogs, we put on a display of water rescue work which we're pleased to say usually attracts a large crowd of spectators.
